I helped design a footy class rc sailboat in 2019. 

The goal of the design was to sail a pre set course we had two attempts to sail the course as fast as possible and the top 5 boats made it to the finals. The boat had to be capable of sailing both up and down wind. My primary responcability was the cad design and the hull manufacturing. The hull was constructed out of floral foam and sealed with acrilic paint. the electronics where housed in a tubaware containter which provided a simple but water tight place to store the electronics. The mast pivoted about its center using two ball bearings with a 3D printed housing. 

Our boat came in second place with a lap time of 5 minutes.
